The People`s Republic of China has bilateral trade agreements with the blocs, countries and their two specific administrative regions: With the EIT, the EU intends to support the capacity building of civil society organisations to ensure effective accountability on national territory and local ownership and to play a full role in the democratisation process. Under the ENI Regulation, external action partners, including civil society organisations and local authorities, are involved in preparing, implementing and monitoring EU support, as their role is important. In addition, civil society organizations are called upon to participate in the development of the three financial programmes – bilateral, multinational and cross-border cooperation – and will be their main beneficiaries, in collaboration with local and regional authorities.
